Finding our confidence

Nobody is born with confidence, evidently it's something we gain.
So if we wonder if we're able to gain confidence, the answer is yes.
It's been a rocky road finding my confidence.
But I can definitely say that it has never been so good!
And I feel like it's important to share the different mechanisms that I've discovered.
I do think it's important that we're able to preserve our confidence without thinking we are better than anyone else.
Cause the truth is, there is room for everyone to shine in this world.
Our filter
First, I think it's important to ask ourselves, what confidence is to us.
It's all about our mindset.
What makes me feel confident, might not be the same for others.
I was able to realize that confidence came down to believing in myself, knowing that I can accomplish anything I set my mind too.
But it was process for me to figure this out, fitness had a lot to do with it.
That's why I would recommend we first ask ourselves:
- How can I feel more confident?
- What is confidence to me?
- Who is someone I think feels confident?
Take it easy
We have to remember that we are humans, we're constantly growing and evolving.
The same goes with gaining confidence.
Most things in life are a process & take time.
For me, showing up to the gym, eating the right foods, getting enough sleep, turning in my school work, asking questions, gaining more knowledge, etc. Have everything to do with how I found my confidence.
By taking these actions. And continuing to prove too myself what I'm capable of accomplishing on my own.
But I won't deny that there are some days that I feel less confident, which is okay.
Actually, that's going to happen. And it's totally normal.
So it's important that we take it easy, and to not be so hard on ourselves!!
Inside of us
Even though I gained most of my confidence through fitness and transforming my body, I believe it had everything to do with how I changed my mindset.
Confidence in my opinion has nothing to do with our body but with how we feel from the inside.
Which could project through our physical bodies for some of us.
But It starts with how we feel about ourselves.
That's why I believe it's important that we first realize what gives each of us confidence.
And to remember that we're not perfect, but each day is a new opportunity to be better than the day before. ;)
